Trauma Work

If you’re constantly anxious, struggling with avoidance, or have difficulty with nurturing secure and healthy relationships, trauma might be impacting your nervous system.

Experiencing trauma can impact our sense of self and ability to navigate the world around us confidently. At times, the emotions highjack the parts of our brain responsible for executive functioning, problem-solving, and emotional regulation. Other times, it cuts us off from getting in touch with our emotions and our bodies.

Finding ways back to feeling safety in your body when you’ve been impacted by trauma requires equal parts patience and gentleness as well as honesty and challenge with yourself.

Our specialties in trauma include religious trauma, intergenerational trauma, racial trauma, acute and complex PTSD, and sexual trauma.
