Abby, Kelsey, & Nithya met in their counseling grad program at Loyola University Maryland in 2022. Bonding over their love of a good thrift, sweet treat, and craft night, they became fast friends. As time passed and they embarked on their careers as therapists, their shared values within their clinical work are what has sustained them and inspired them to create The Moth House: A Counseling Collective.
How We Met
Our Therapists
Kelsey Ko
Hey there!
I’m a warm, adaptive therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and identity concerns. Using a blend of mindfulness-based and attachment-based therapies, I love collaborating with clients to create a safe and honest therapeutic alliance to help you uncover the growth and relationships you desire.
While my work spans individuals ages 10+, couples, and families, I'm particularly passionate about working with people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, and children of immigrants. I believe we exist within interlocking systems where our environments, identities, and histories deeply impact our psyche, and acknowledge the colonial roots of Western healing practices.
I do my best to show up authentically in therapy in the hopes that you will too! Talking can get us far, but I also enjoy infusing play and creative expression in the therapy room — I’m happy to make art, draw, write, breathe, or knit/crochet in sessions if you’d like.

Hi hi!
I am a dedicated and warm therapist who specializes in relational therapy. I strive to highlight the power dynamics and systems surrounding us. I work with teens, adults, & relationships of all shapes & sizes! I’m particularly excited to work with immigrants & children of immigrants, people working on body liberation, LGBTQ+ folks, & people involved in BDSM/kink and polyamory!
I try my best to provide a sex-positive and non-judgmental space. I aim to incorporate elements of art, games, & movement into my practice. We will laugh, cry, learn, and play together!
Where you come from, who you are, and what you have experienced will always be valued. I can’t wait to meet you!
Abby Miller
Hello!
I work with teens, adults, couples, and groups to navigate life’s complexities with curiosity, creativity, and compassion. I’m especially passionate about supporting those healing from religious trauma, exploring LGBTQ+ identity and acceptance, embracing body liberation, and understanding neurodivergence.
My therapeutic style is creative, collaborative, and conversational, grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. I draw from a range of modalities with a specific focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, to create a flexible, individualized approach that honors your unique story.
My work is deeply informed by social justice and liberation psychology, recognizing the ways that systems of power and oppression shape our mental health, relationships, and sense of self. In our sessions, we’ll hold space not only for personal healing, but also for resilience, resistance, and reclamation in a world that often expects you to be smaller than you are.
